The Other Side

Stop comparing, keep hustling

  1. Success stories are great reads, but please remember the role of luck and survivorship bias.

  2. PM Interviews ARE COMPLETELY BROKEN

  3. 50+ job interviews in a month

  4. No-one gives a shit about your thinly veiled humblebrag of "I went from £0k - £500k salary in 5 seconds" disguised as career advice.

  5. Why Take Home Assignments During the Interview Process Are Bullshit - And Why You Should Run From Companies That Make You Do Them

  6. Marty Cagan promoting toxic work life balance?

Salary negotiation

  1. Getting a market correction

  2. Salary Negotiation: Make More Money, Be More Valued

  3. LPT: When negotiating a salary for a new job, always ask them what their range is. If they tell you 'we don't have a range' they're almost always lying. HR and finance will almost never sign off hiring a new employee without a budget being in place.
